Contents overview

As part of the course, you will be required to write an exposé of approximately 5 pages. Please allow approximately 10 hours of free time for this. Following the attendance dates, there will be feedback discussions on the respective exposés. The exposé will be presented to the course participants during a lecture. Feedback on the presentation will be given immediately after the lecture.

Description

The event is intended for students who will be writing their seminar paper or thesis in the foreseeable future.
Students are often required to present their academic work in the form of a lecture. The quality of the lecture can have a significant impact on the grade. It often becomes apparent that students lack experience in writing papers and creating and giving presentations. This is partly due to a lack of the necessary prerequisite skills, such as literature research, literature evaluation and independent knowledge acquisition. The aim of the event is to impart the missing knowledge by demonstrating the appropriate approach using business seminar and thesis topics.

Examination procedures in accordance with the Bachelor's examination regulations

Two ECTS credits can be earned.

Application

Places are allocated in conjunction with the allocation of seminar places at the Chair of International Business Taxation. Bachelor's students who are writing their seminar paper at other chairs, or Master's students who wish to participate in the course on a voluntary basis, will only be accepted if there is sufficient capacity.
